Today's musical score = "Take It Easy" by The Eagles, which made the town of Winslow, AZ famous.
Today's spat: "Yes, that is the entrance!"
"No, that's not what the sign said."
and after a u-turn, one spouse gagged and choked while saying, "You were right."

We drove along Rte. 40 East, stopping first in Winslow, AZ to visit the Standin' on the Corner Park which is dedicated to The Eagles. Afterwards, we stopped in a couple of stores to purchase our Rte. 66 souvenirs. Then it was on to the National Petrified Forest where trees have been turned to stone by continental drift, flood waters, and weathering. Some of the petrified remnants contain mineral crystals such as, quartz.
That was our last stop in AZ before heading on to Albuquerque, NM. This also took us through Navajo Nation land which contains beautiful rock formations and not-so-beautiful casinos.
Today's yummy meal -- at the St. Claire Bistro in Albuquerque. Try to guess where we're headed next....
